Rives and Harris Videos

Those videos were very interesting. I thought Rives poem and story were very telling of our times now. I think Jacob mentioned in his post that a few years ago that terminology would have seemed so foreign and it's so true. Today I think most people can follow along with what he is talking about and it makes sense. I try to think about what I would do if I ran the internet. Lol. So many possibilities...that may be another post all together.

Jonathan Harris' project was completely different from anything I have ever seen. To create a program that will pick up on human emotion is so amazing. I really enjoyed hearing him talk about that and to see the pictures associated with those emotions, although I do have to admit that freaks me out. I hope I don't end up on one of the videos. That just makes me realize that there is very little privacy these days, but then again that is what you get for putting things on the internet. When I was a kid we wrote our innermost thoughts in a diary and were mortified if someone else read it, but now people are writing about their lives for anyone to see and that is just different to me. I guess I am just a more private person :)
